First Annual NMT Family Reunion
Returning Citizens Breakfast and Healing Circle
July, 2018: Everyone impacted by the justice system was invited to attend this community luncheon in West Oakland. We gathered for music, inspirational speakers, a family photo session, NMT vignettes, and a community healing circle.
February, 2018: formally incarcerated men and their families gathered to hear inspirational speeches about re-entry and discuss community commitments over breakfast in West Oakland. Participants shared success stories, participated in a healing circle, and planned future community events.
REENTRY NAVIGATORS
2016 - 2017: this project was a collaborative effort between the Asian Prisoner Support Committee (APSC), Building Opportunities for Self Sufficiency (BOSS), and No More Tears. Together the organizations conducted Healing Circles, provided paid on-the-job training, and assisted participants with placement in community-based reentry services.
